The Fishing Vessel

The fishing vessel Seafarer II is a 50 foot, (15 m) Marko Sambrailo commercial charter and fishing vessel. It was built in Western Australia for rock lobster fishing and was also used as a whale watching passenger vessel. It has a fully enclosed cabin as well as a covered deck area and side curtains to ensure passenger comfort and safety.

Originally built in Australia for Commercial fishing in 1986, it was then converted and used as a Whale Watching boat. It was brought to New Zealand in 2007 and had fished commercially and as a charter vessel in Kaikoura. Cook Strait Fishing Charters Ltd purchased the vessel in 2013 and now offer this vessel to customers in Wellington for fishing, diving and other charters

The deck is spacious and comfortably fishes up to 12-20 people.

Surveyed and licensed by Maritime New Zealand to carry 20 passengers and 3 crew.

Full catering for breakfasts, lunches and other needs can be arranged at reasonable prices for sole charter trips.
